Did you know that Biotech Networks was founded in 2008, 15 years ago at the BIO (Biotechnology Innovation Organization) convention in San Diego? Since then, we’ve worked with them off and on to promote and participate in the event. We are very pleased to announce that our first Scientific Speed Networking™ event outside of California will be on June 6th 2023 during BIO in Boston. BIO 2023 attendees get in free, but you must pre-register and click on the checkmark box near the end of the form. Click here to register.
Biotech Networks has had a virtual presence in Boston/Cambridge since 2021, we’ve provided news, jobs, and virtual events to our followers in the region and even helped provide job numbers for the Boston Globe. We’re beyond excited to share Scientific Speed Networking with biotech professionals who are attending BIO, they’ll get in free. You’re also welcome if you’re in town and want to network with BIO attendees and other local biotech professionals, the cost is $35 and includes networking, a casual dinner and drink ticket.
Biotech Networks events were born in US West Coast breweries, providing a casual atmosphere to connect. After extensive research by our Founder Mary Canady (someone has to do it!), we’ve found the perfect Boston pub for this event, Democracy Brewing. It’s in Boston’s Downtown Crossing region, a short Uber ride from the convention center or Kendall Square/Cambridge, and on the green, red, orange and silver Boston/Cambridge MBTA transit lines, and accessible by bus. Bring your elevator speech, lots of business cards (remember those?), your mobile phone (QR Codes!), and optionally a notebook. Click here to register.
COVID-19 Safety Precautions: Speed networking is a high contact event. We are requiring that each in person attendee confirm that they are COVID-19 vaccinated, or have taken a test the day of the event. That being said, we suggest that you not attend if you are immunocompromised or have other health risks, and we hope to accommodate you virtually in the near future.

Genomics Networking Sponsor: LevitasBio LevitasBio has developed the LeviCell platform, a powerful new solution for cell processing and characterization that utilizes magnetic fields to levitate cells. Unlike other single-cell separation methods, levitation does not require dyes, antibodies, or labels, and the cells are not modified or perturbed in any fashion. The cells are visualized in real-time, enabling complete analysis of the sample. The ability to enrich live cells with high recovery is particularly significant for applications such as single-cell and bulk sequencing, cell line development, iPSC workflows, PDX model generation, and CRISPR workflows.
